What are cookies?
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. They can help a website remember information between visits or pages. Similar technologies include browser storage and tracking pixels.
Our current website
We use Google Analytics only when you choose “Accept analytics”. It helps us understand traffic sources, pages visited and clicks on our telephone and email links. A click does not confirm that an enquiry was received. Our integration disables Google advertising signals and advertising personalisation.
Our photographs and policy downloads are served with the website. Social-media and SafeContractor links open external websites; they are not embedded tracking widgets. Our email and telephone links open your chosen application.
Optional analytics and your choice
Google Analytics can set cookies named _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visits. Our integration configures a six-month cookie duration. We store your accept or reject choice in browser storage under cbis.analytics.consent.v1 for up to 180 days. Analytics is off until you accept.
Choose “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page to change your choice. Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from using the website. Withdrawing consent disables our tracker, removes its standard Analytics cookies and reloads the page.
Analytics may process technical information such as device and browser information, pages visited and referral sources. Do not include personal information in campaign tags or website URLs. See Google’s privacy information for its processing arrangements.
Hosting and access services
A hosting provider or a service used to sign in and access a hosted version of this website may use its own cookies for purposes such as security or maintaining a signed-in session. These are separate from cookies set by the CBIS website pages. Please refer to that service’s privacy and cookie information for its cookie names, purposes and durations.
Cookies that are genuinely essential to provide a service you request can be used without consent. A cookie is not essential simply because it is useful to a business.
Managing cookies
Your browser settings let you inspect, delete or block cookies and other stored website data. Consult your browser’s help pages for instructions. Blocking cookies may affect services that require a signed-in session.
Use “Cookie settings” to accept or reject optional analytics. Your browser settings also let you remove stored cookies and data. Removing the stored choice means we will ask again on a later visit.
External websites
When you follow a link to another website, its own cookie and privacy arrangements apply. Review that website’s notices and settings before choosing how to use it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this notice when our website’s use of cookies or similar technologies changes. Before introducing technology that needs consent, we will provide appropriate information and a way to make and change your choice.
